With the EyeClops Night Vision goggles, your child can explore dark environments with advanced infrared technology. Set-up is easy. Simply insert five AA batteries into the battery pack at the back of the head-set, and slide the power switch to turn on the goggles. Once the screen display lights up inside of the right eye-piece, you can fit the goggles to your child's head by adjusting the soft rubber straps around top and sides. EyeClops Night Vision goggles come equipped with a hinged, flip-up eye-piece that can be opened when the goggles are turned off, or closed when the goggles are in use. Your child can choose between the maximum surveillance mode which emits a barely-visible ring of red LEDs around the eyepiece so they can see up to 50 feet in absolute darkness, or go for the stealth mode to remain completely invisible while they explore the dark landscape immediately around them. These are awesome. I have 0 use for them as I live in New York City, but what guy in his 20s wouldn't want to own Night Vision Goggles? My girlfriend gave them to me for my birthday after Amazon smartly had them on my recommended page for 6 months and I wouldn't stop talking about them. I have only really used them when turning out the lights and impressing my friends, but they are awesome and I fully recommend the purchase if you have expendable income.

I am a military man and I have seen true night vision. This is not it. All night vision is tunnel like and messes with your depth perception. It will be hard to walk around with it until you get some practice. I do not consider those cons. All night vision has those problems. But real night vision amplifies light like some animal eyes do.
Unlike generation I night vision this device has no amplification of regular light. If you have the lights on in the room and you switch look through your EyeClops you will see okay. And when you turn off the lights you will see okay too. But only because there is an infrared flashlight on your head. Youtube "homemade night vision scope" and you will see people have been making devices like these for some time now. It is simply an infrared flashlight, tied to a infrared camera, tied to your head.

Hi fellow night owls.....i was looking for the best bang for your night vision bucks & i think this is it ! I have owned several other NV Goggles binocs & minocs....& while they were far more expensive & sturdy their performance wasnt all that much better. While this Eyeclops has it's faults & limitations, it is a usable unit.

You CAN rig the eye piece so if it falls of outside you wont lose it
SO....all in all .....even though the unit broke the 2nd night i tried to put it on, & the eye piece popped off the same night :) ...i am still a happy camper because it was simple to remedy those issues
OK listen up, i know many of you have had your head strap retainer [ small frail plastic piece]
break on you, but dont send your unit back cause the fix only takes 5 mins
All you need to do is get some wire....i used green garden wire, purchased at Wallmart in the arts n crafts dept....& something to cut the wire with, a decent pair of scissors will do.
What you need to do is use the wire to secure the rubber strap to the strap swivel/retainer that holds the strap to the goggle. If you do it right it is even better than before as it will not ever break again & you can still adjust the strap. The strap retainer flares towards the strap, wrap & secure the wire tightly behind this flare so it cannot pull off. Twist tie & snip off excess wire & wallah !...your done & it's better than new!!
As far as the eye piece goes you can secure that with electric tape & wire so if it comes off while out in the dark it will stay attached to the goggle & you wont lose it.
once you make these modifications i think your Eyeclops will serve you well....into the night.

The view window is the size of a POSTAGE STAMP. Are you kidding me?? My kids put these on for about 5 seconds, took them off and never touched them again. This is the worse piece of crap I have ever bought from anyone EVER. The marketing of this toy is incredibly misleading. All of the pictures on their website are designed to fool you into believing that you get a normal view window. No way. It is a POSTAGE STAMP. How in the world could a child enjoy such a toy?
Do not buy this toy. You have been warned.
